Title: Machine Learning - Its Concept, Applications and Challenges
Keynote Speaker: Zhu Hongmei
Abstract: Nowadays, as technology advances, everyone has witnessed the tremendous fascination and development trend of machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI). In this lecture, I will discuss the basic concept, methods, applications and challenges of machine learning, center on the basic concepts and core ideas, and look forward to sharing my study and research experience with you.
Speaker Introduction: Zhu Hongmei, associate professor of Department of Mathematics of the University of York. She graduated from the Department of Mathematics of Shandong University in 1990 with bachelor's degree, studied at the University of Waterloo, and successively obtained her master's degree and doctoral degree. Hereafter, she was engaged in post-doctoral research (mainly for diagnosis on multiple sclerosis) at the Affiliated Hospital of University of Calgary for three years. Now, she cooperatively studies machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) in industrial and medical circles, and related fields.
