Title:Introduction to Arithmetic Quantum Unique Ergodicity
Keynote Speaker:Zhao Peng
Abstract:
In this talk, we will discuss the arithmetic quantum unique ergodicity (AQUE) conjecture of Rudnick and Sarnak. This QUE problem concerns the mass equidistribution of automorphic forms on the hyperbolic surfaces, and aims to understand the limiting behavior of Laplacian eigenfunctions. We'll describe this problem in number theoretic setting and present its connection with the analytic properties of automorphic L-functions.
Speaker Introduction:
Zhao Peng, an undergraduate in 1999 and a postgraduate in 2002 of our School, received his doctoral degree from the Ohio State University, and then was engaged in teaching and number theory research at several universities or research institutes such as the University of Connecticut, Yale University and Princeton University. He currently teaches at the Indiana State University, mainly studying the analytic number theory and spectral theory in automorphic form.
