Keynote Speaker:Zhao Huaizhong
Abstract:
In this talk, I will talk about random periodic paths, periodic measures and their ergodic theory. Then I will go on to talk about the law of large numbers along an arithmetic progression of an arbitrary length for discrete time random periodic systems. I will also touch some applications.
Introduction to the Speaker:
Zhao Huaizhong, Chair Professor of the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Durham University, UK.
He graduated from the School of Mathematics of Shandong University as an undergraduate majored in mathematics in 1984. He was granted a doctoral degree in dynamic system from the Institute of Applied Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1990, and then another doctorate in stochastic calculus in 1995 from the Institute of Mathematics, the University of Warwick, UK. In his early years, he worked as a research assistant in the Institute of Applied Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, associate researcher at the University of Warwick and Swansea University, UK, research fellow at the Italian International Physics Research Center, and visiting assistant professor at the University of California, Irvine. In 1999, he was rated as a lecturer at Loughborough University, UK. In 2007, he was promoted to Chair Professor and served as the President of the Department of Mathematical Sciences for two consecutive terms. He is now a Chair Professor at Durham University, UK and Distinguished Professor of high-level talents in Shandong University.
He was among the EPSRC Established Fellowship and the Recruitment Program of Global Experts. He has published more than 70 papers in world-class mathematics journals, such asMemoirs of the American Mathematical Society,Commun. Math. Phys.,JDE,JFA, and such SIAM journals asSICONandSINUM. He is mainly engaged in researches on stochastic calculus, involving stochastic differential equations/stochastic partial differential equations, especially fundamental research projects in stochastic dynamics, nonlinear probability, ergodic theory, etc.
