Abstract:

As one of the important branches of modern mathematics, the graph theory has shown important theoretical value and broad application prospects in many disciplines such as physics, chemistry, computer, biology, and many application fields such as information communication, network security, intelligent transportation, medicine and health. This report mainly introduces this theory and its several important and interesting applications.

About the Lecturer:

Yan Guiying, gained all her bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from the School of Mathematics of Shandong University, is currently a secondary researcher and doctoral supervisor of the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science Chinese Academy of Sciences, deputy director of the National Center for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences (NCMIS), Chinese Academy of Sciences and vice chairman of the China Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. With main research areas covering graph network theory and applications, she has won the special government allowance of the State Council and the honorary title of "National Excellent Science and Technology Workers".
