Introduction to the Lecturer:
Zeng Xiaodong, researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, graduated from the Department of Physics of Peking University in 1991, and received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1998. He went to Japan, Canada and the United States as a visiting researcher.
He focuses on the theory, modeling and simulation research on the interaction of vegetation, land surface and atmosphere, including: 1) the development of the sub-system model-Global Vegetation Dynamics Model as a core member of the Earth System Model team of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 2) the development of theoretical models of ecological dynamics to simulate and explain the bifurcation and mutation of the ecological-climate system, self-organization characteristics of individual competition and group structure, etc.
